No more free Jitterbit??

I’ve been building integrations for folks since around 2013 using the (previously) free Jitterbit Cloud Data Loader. It’s been a great tool to set up, schedule jobs, and then just walk away, and it has often continued to run just fine for years and years afterwards. I’ve run across occasional hiccups, like with MFA requirements, or TLS updates, but for the most part it’s just worked. I’m sure Jitterbit provided this for free largely to whet people’s appetites so when they needed more features they’d make the jump to a “real” Jitterbit product, but the jump in price and functionality was always so vast that people would avoid it at all costs. In fact I’ve never had a single client to made the switch from Jitterbit ‘free’ to ‘paid’ (although I did have a couple who went straight to the ‘paid’ version).

Well, the days of the free Jitterbit Cloud Data Loader are over. They have cut it off as of November 2025; no more updates, no more support of any kind (although it’s never really been officially supported). So I am looking for alternatives. Back in the day, I’d use the Salesforce Data Loader (fka: Apex Data Loader), which you can schedule by using the CLI and Scheduled Tasks on your Windows box. It’s not the most user-friendly thing, but it works, and there has been more of a push to keep that tool updated in the past couple years, so I guess that’ll be my primary fallback position, but I’m still looking for others. Salesforce owns Informatica, and there is a free tier with their “Cloud Data Integration,” but I don’t know if I can load from a local file with that one. (And I’m having trouble registering, too. Interestingly, there are still a few systems out there that don’t like my “.llc” email address.) Salesforce also owns dataloader.io (because it’s Mule), and that also has a free tier, but it only allows up to 10krecords/month, which eliminates it for my 2 primary Jitterbit Cloud Data Loader users..

So, if I have any readers, I guess they should be aware of this and alert for my recommendations, which will likely be coming soon. For now, I’ll be switching to the Salesforce Data Loader. If you have any recommendations, I’m all ears.
